Jefferson Park Centre is designed as a Mixed-Use Commercial center consisting of Office, Retail, Hotel and Restaurant uses. The uses are integrated by architecture and planning yet each use maintains a distinct image. The site consists of 22.25 acres flat desert landscape, including the “Shields Date Farm”, located on the south side of Highway 111 within the city limits of Indio
The Master Plan and Architecture is envisioned as “contemporary modern desert” with references to mid century desert architecture. The buildings are designed with sustainable design elements including long overhangs for shade, trellis’s and other shading devises at the pedestrian circulation, deep recessed window and door openings and solar green shaded glass. The materials will be a mixture of limestone colored drystack and cut stone and sand colored stucco. Pedestrian connections will be along widened walks with landscape, sculpture and water features to enhance the pedestrian experience between the retail, office and restaurant uses. The landscape theme for Jefferson Park Centre is a contemporary desert theme which is intended to bring the desert ambiance of Indio into the developed areas of the project.
