VERSO

North Park Library & Mixed-Use

25,000 s.f. Library
20,000 s.f. Street Retail
150 Mult-Family Affordable Residential Units

The North Park Library will bring a sense of community to VERSO, a mixed-use residential and retail project. Our goal is to provide needed housing to this growing area coupled with street level retail space and dining establishments.

Our concept includes market rate ‘for sale’ residential units in both townhome and flat configurations, organized around private and public courtyard spaces. Street or plaza level units are designed to accommodate both in-home professional work environments and shopkeeper retail units. We envision a project that will bring vitality to the neighborhood and energize the goals of the North Park Main Street. The community we build will be an extension of Greater North Park, with the inclusion of the Library it will become a diverse mixed-use urban center.

The project design consists of a library space of 25,000 s.f. in a two story configuration; new street level retail space of 18,000 s.f.; existing street level retail uses where adaptive re-use of the historical structures will be encouraged; approximately 150 residential units on the upper floors and on grade and below grade parking.

The library will serve as the focal point of the development and the community, setting a high standard for future development in North Park. The goal is to provide a diverse and integrated community. The architecture will be contemporary in form drawing from the historical 1950’s modernist traditions and will be finished in quality materials of stone, tile, stucco, steel and glass. In this effort the library will be the focal point of an integrated living experience, combining public and private spaces for living, dining shopping, reading and community gathering.
